subprocessors

Last updated July 2026

To run our apps, neoncrayon relies on a small number of trusted third-party providers, sometimes called subprocessors. This page lists them in one place, along with what each one does. It is here for convenience and transparency.

Not every app uses every provider, and each app's own privacy policy is the authoritative source for how that app handles your data. The list below reflects the providers we use across our apps today.

DigitalOcean

Cloud hosting and managed database. Our apps and their databases run on DigitalOcean infrastructure.

Handles Application data and databases
Location Canada

Stripe

Payment processing. When you pay for one of our apps, Stripe handles the transaction. neoncrayon never sees or stores your full card details; they go directly to Stripe.

Handles Payment and billing information
Location United States

Mailgun

Transactional email. Mailgun sends the operational messages our apps generate, such as sign-in links, receipts, and account notifications.

Handles Email address and message contents
Location United States

MaxMind

GeoIP reference data. We use MaxMind's GeoLite2 database to map IP addresses to a general location for security features. The lookup runs on our own servers against a downloaded copy of the database, so your IP address is not sent to MaxMind.

Handles No data sent; lookups happen locally
Location Reference database only

We may add or change providers as our apps evolve. When we do, this page and the relevant app privacy policies will be updated.
