Hollywood has been known for rebooting movies when they run out of ideas. Before they start making endless movies about pandemics, the latest movie franchise to get a total reboot is Mortal Kombat. At least MK feels topical because I’m pretty sure they never stopped making Mortal Kombat video games.

Maybe it’s just me and my nostalgia speaking, but I still prefer the original. Where else are you going to get a killer EDM soundtrack, and classic lines like “Those were $500 sunglasses, asshole.”
